Science Curriuculum
Science Vision Statement
Our vision at Ash Hill Primary School is to provide a broad and balanced Science education, where curiosity and enquiry are at the heart of our children’s learning. We believe in the power of learning through experience and promote Science exploration through real first-hand experiences.
Our curriculum focuses on a range of scientific skills and concepts such as observation, identification, classification and grouping. By exploring this, paired with rich practical, investigative opportunities, pupils will build up an extended specialist scientific vocabulary enabling them to engage in meaningful, sophisticated discussion. We would like pupils to foster an appreciation for their world and promote sustainability and responsibility. Pupils will recognise their role in shaping the future.
Above all, we aim to foster a sense of belonging, joy, and purpose in our pupils in all areas of the curriculum. Through Science, we promote curiosity and wonder of the world preparing children to be lifelong scientific learners.
