Reception Home Learning
As you know, Ash Hill have currently moved to online learning due to the national lockdown measures. We never want to ask pupils to stay home, but we must act within the guidelines set out for us during the coronavirus pandemic. Staying home supports our whole community to stay safe, and we really appreciate your understanding and support with this. We know it is not easy for parents and carers to manage a home learning period for pupils and we want to do all that we can to support you and minimise any disruption to your child’s education.
On this page you will find an Home Learning Plan. This details learning to be completed by your child on each day. If at any point your child becomes too unwell to complete their home learning, please call the school office and report their illness as you usually would.
We have tried to make the planning accessible for families, so there is a mixture of online and offline learning. If your child does not have access to a laptop or smart device, please inform the school as soon as possible so that we can support you to access home learning in other ways. It is vital that your child does complete the home learning if they are well enough to do so. The school closures last academic year have had a significant impact on pupils’ learning, and we need to ensure that this does not happen again.
If you have any difficulties with home learning please do not hesitate to contact us. Your child’s teacher can be contacted on the class email address, which is yearR@ashhillprimary.co.uk. If your enquiry is urgent, please contact the school office.
We hope your child enjoys they home learning they have been set. We are very much looking forward to seeing them back in school as soon as possible.
Super star learning is awarded to Keshav for his remote learning before half term. He has tried exceptionally hard with his writing and we are very proud of the work he has been doing. Keep up the excellent attitude Keshav!
Super-star home learning last week: Ajay for his superstar learning this week. Great key word recognition and a lovely letter in which he has sounded out lots of words. He had a well-deserved hot chocolate after working so hard! Keep up the fantastic learning Ajay.
Super-star home learning last week: Sofia has written a brilliant letter pretending to be Goldilocks. She used her phonic knowledge to help sound out some of the words. I can also see she has been using her RWI sound sheet to help form letters correctly. Well done Sofia! Photo attached (not the best quality but it shows Sofia is making good progress!)
