Computing Curriculum

Computing Vision Statement

At Ash Hill Primary, our vision for computing is to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and build a sense of belonging through joyful, hands-on learning experiences. Guided by the Teach Computing scheme of work from the National Centre for Computing Education, we aim to empower every child to become confident, responsible, and reflective digital citizens.

We believe that computing is not just about technology—it’s about thinking critically, solving problems, and exploring the world with wonder. Our curriculum nurtures a love of learning through practical, engaging activities that inspire discovery and innovation. By cultivating skills in computational thinking, digital literacy, and programming, we support our pupils in becoming active creators, not just consumers, of technology.

Through collaboration, exploration, and reflection, we help our learners grow in confidence and capability, preparing them to thrive in an ever-evolving digital landscape while celebrating the joy of learning together.
